Fuji takes FinePix underwater

Fujifilm has responded to the current popularity of scuba diving by launching an underwater housing for two of its FinePix cameras, the F410 and the F401. Built from high-impact polycarbonate, the sealed housing protects the cameras to a depth of 40 metres. Apple determined to secure iPod interface patent

Apple has reiterated that it is determined to secure a patent on the iPod interface, despite losing out first time around. Last week the US Patent and Trademark Office ruled Apple's patent application invalid because a similar claim had already been registered by one John Platt, who, it subsequently emerged, is an employee of Microsoft. Threatened with the possibility that it might have to pay iPod royalties to its greatest rival, Apple said it will appeal the USPTO decision. ...more

China accuses West over WAPI wireless encryption technology

China has accused the International Standards Organization of insulting the country and waging a conspiracy against its WAPI wireless encryption technology.
