LaCie has added top its range of double-layer capable DVD writers, unveiling a 16x burner on its distrinctive FA Porsche designed casing. With the implementation of the Human Rights Act (HRA) this week, businesses with a policy of monitoring the activities of their employees could find themselves inadvertently in hot water. Companies that monitor their employees' email, Internet or phone use without informing their staff have been warned to check they have the necessary clauses in staff contracts and handbooks, or they could be sued under the HRA.
