Toshiba exchanges faulty laptop memory modules

Toshiba has issued a warning about memory modules used in certain of its notebooks. The company has revealed that the modules - under certain conditions and when used in combination with other components - potentially cause blue screens, intermittent PC lockups or undetected memory data corruption. Apple unveils Bluetooth mouse

Apple has unveiled the wireless Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, just hours after its specification was leaked on the Web. The new version the multi-button mouse has a new laser tracking engine that Apple claim is 20 times more sensitive than standard optical mice for better tracking on even more surfaces. Solaris 9 x86 finally released by Sun

After months of waiting Sun Microsystems has finally released its Unix-based Solaris 9 x86 Platform Edition operating system for PC based servers. Dutch join anti-iTunes campaign

The Netherlands' consumer protection agency has joined its French and German counterparts in backing the Norway-led coalition of countries that are trying to force Apple to remove DRM restrictions from the iTunes Store. The Dutch Consumentenbond has filed a complaint with the country's antitrust authority alleging that Apple's practice of supporting only its own iPod portable players is illegal. 'What we want from Apple is that they remove the limitations that prevent you from playing a song you download from iTunes on any player other than an iPod,' spokesman van Kouwen said. ...more
