There are over 300 new fonts including designs such as Linex Sans, Haarlemmer and Mosquito. The collection also includes classics, like Times New Roman, Monotype and Gill Sans. Eric Schmidt, chief executive officer of Google, has been elected to Apple's board of directors. Schmidt, who also sits on Google's board and Princeton University's board of trustees, joins current Apple directors Steve Jobs, former US vice-president Al Gore, Intuit chairman Bill Campbell, J Crew CEo Millard Drexler, Genentech CEO Arthur Levinson, Harwinton Capital CEO Jerry York and former Apple CFO Fred Anderson. BT sets SDSL prices for September launch

BT is set to launch SDSL broadband on 8 September and has released details of what connection speeds will be available and for how much. The IPStream Symmetric service - as the SDSL product is known - will be available at four speeds: 256kbit/sec, 512kbit/sec, 1Mbit/sec and 2Mbit/sec costing ?1,440, ?1,680, ?2,520 and ?3,000 a year respectively for a minimum one-year contract.
