NV35 likely to be Nvidia's first orders at IBM

The orders Nvidia may start placing at IBM are said to be the company's new NV35 chip, an updated version of Nvidia's current top-end GeForce FX 5800 series (NV30) chip, sources said, as Nvidia's cooperation with IBM is aimed at the latter's high-end process technology. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Nvidia's long-time foundry partner, will continue manufacturing the larger-amount, lower-end GeForce FX 5600 (NV31) and GeForce FX 5200 (NV34) chips. A UK scientist has applied technology developed by the likes of Amazon to the analysis of chemistry research papers. Henry Rzepa, a reader in organic chemistry at London's Imperial College, has developed the SemanticEye application that searches papers's content to create links between common topics.
