Adobe plugs free 3D content into Photoshop Extended

Adobe has released a free plug-in that enables users of the new Extended version of Photoshop to find and download content from Google's collection of 3D models. Google 3D Warehouse is a free online repository for 3D models and content and the plug-in will enable this content to be placed, manipulated and used in composites with the new 3D tools in Photoshop CS3 Extended. CA draws a line under financial troubles

CA is hoping to draw a line under its financial troubles, finally filing its late 10k and appointing a new CFO. The management software company has seen a fifth of its market value wiped out this year as it underwent an internal investigation into financial irregularities that brought to light stock awards made several years after they were granted, as well as errors in accounting for its subscription revenues prior to 2006. Imation will launch a digital audio player that burns mini-CDRs. The RipGO! player, to be launched in the spring of next year, uses 185MB mini-CD-R discs to store data. Adobe puts video editing on the Web

Users of the Photobucket video sharing website can now edit their clips online using software developed by Adobe. The delivery of Web-based video remix and editing technology to 35 million Photobucket users is a significant new direction for Adobe, which has previously focussed almost exclusively on development for the desktop. The editing environment is a Flash application built using Adobe's Flex platform, and lets users reorder, trim and split clips, and drag and drop music, effects, transitions and titles. ...more
