SCO meets IBM Interrogatories deadline, waiting on other information

SCO has filed a 'Notice of Compliance with Court Order' in response to the order to compel discovery granted to IBM, but says that due to 'certain officers and directors' being away for Christmas there are some files it expects to submit at a later date. In SCO's press release it describes its response as only answering 'certain interrogatories', and in the notice it says it may need to 'supplement or amend' its answers to the interrogatories as the investigation continues. In particular, it is unclear whether SCO has managed to 'identify and state with specificity the source code(s) that SCO is claiming form the basis of their action against IBM', as requested in the order. ...more

Beatles fans will probably have to wait until next year before they can buy the Fab Four's tunes from online retailers such as Apple's iTunes store, George Harrison's widow has said. A recent settlement to a lengthy trademark dispute between Apple and the Beatles' company, Apple Corps, has cleared the way for the band to distribute its catalogue in cyberspace. Teenage eBay scammer jailed for three years

A US teenager has been jailed for nearly three years and ordered to repay $20,000 of his ill-gotten gains after being caught operating a scam on online auction site eBay. Nineteen-year-old Cole Bartiromo pleaded guilty to offering items on the site which were never shipped to the buyer and to bank fraud for trying to dupe bank staff into cashing checks and sending the money to an offshore account he had set up.
